What the document library does

Upload and categorize

Administrators upload files up to 25MB and file them under governing documents and bylaws, minutes, financial, rules and architectural, or general.

Find by title

Search document titles to locate a record quickly instead of scrolling a folder tree or asking a former board member where it went.

Preview in place

PDFs and images open in a preview inside Rylon, so checking a bylaw during a meeting does not require downloading anything.

Download and manage

Files can be downloaded when a copy is needed, and administrators can remove documents that no longer belong in the library.

Who can see what

Uploading, categorizing, and removing documents is an administrator action. Board members and residents read and preview the library according to their role in the community, so the association keeps one authoritative set of records without giving everyone edit rights.

What the library does not do

Being clear is more useful than overpromising. Rylon’s document library does not perform OCR, does not extract or summarize file contents automatically, does not search inside document text, does not migrate or import records from another system for you, does not maintain version history, and does not link documents to decisions automatically.

Storage isn’t continuity.

A document library answers what was filed. The rest of Rylon holds the reasoning users record. Records sit alongside meetings, decisions, votes, requests, and vendors in the same association workspace, and supporting documents can be linked to decisions when the board establishes that relationship.
